20:20 Vision – Shaping the Future of the UK Construction Industry
The Buildoffsite Stakeholder Event took place on Thursday 8 October 2009 from 4.30 - 6.30 pm and was followed by a drinks reception and networking. The location was the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills Conference Centre at 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET
Our Stakeholder events are very popular and provide a great opportunity for business to business networking. It would be helpful if, as soon as possible you would let us know if you wish to attend.
Our theme for the afternoon will be to focus on how our industry is likely to change over the next decade and what this will mean for those companies and individuals who work in the industry. We will set the scene for a discussion through a series of short presentations from some of the most important decision takers and leaders in our industry.
Within Buildoffsite we believe in the potential for off-site solutions to enable fundamental change in the nature of design and construction processes in order to meet the developing needs of clients and also to meet national requirements for a much more sustainable built environment. The challenge is to work with those organisations that share this vision to support the exchange of best practice “how to” information across the industry and also to support the delivery of those new skills that all those involved in design and construction will need if the benefits in terms of quality, productivity, health and safety are to be fully realised.
The Stakeholders Event on the 8 October will provide a great opportunity for you to hear how some of our leading organisations are preparing for their 20:20 vision of the industry and for their businesses.
